Didn;t the Cards also open a new ballpark and win a championship in 1967? Maybe the ballpark was first opened in 1966, I’m not positive. In any event, for Cardinals and their fans everywhere–this Bud’s for you!

This honestly is one of the best days of my life.!

I know it’s kind of lame, but I’ve been waiting for this again for the last 24 years.  
And yes, I know on an obscure level it’s kind of like “rooting for laundry”. But if you truly think that, you just aren’t a sports person.

And in case you were wondering what my name meant: WOOOOOOOOTTT!!!twentyone!!

I was jumping up and down on the phone to my brother. I actually managed a small tear during the duet version of “One” on Fox. I have to wear my genuine-Cardinals replica-Lou Brock jersey to school to teach on Monday. Not that some of the brain-dead wack-jobs in a couple of the periods will get the point…

They moved into Busch Stadium during the 1966 season.
