# Career in Network Security, What should I take?

I am contemplating going back to school and one of my choices is to do internet security. Its something I am interested in but am not sure what classes I need to take. The computer science classes at the colleges dont seem to be as specific as I would like and I dont know if I have enough skills already to take a specific tech school program( they seem to be for people already in the field. This school seems to offer everything I would like to take but it is only offered as seminars [Sans School](http://www.sans.org/index.php)

If anyone has some suggests as to a curriculum I can follow, it would help alot

ONe more thing, I was wondering if the market was flooded with people who already cant find a job in this field. I already have a degree in restaurant management and cant find a decent offer anywhere.

The best guy I know at it has a masters degree in Electrical Engineering. Another guy has his undergrad in CS and a law degree.

And yes, the market is tight for all IT type jobs.

Actually, my college has an MS prgram in IT with a major in network security. I’d suspect that many colleges do this, so you may want to discuss with the grad dept at your local colleges and see.
