# Carnival "Rotor" Style Ride, Could a person walk on the wall?

Nitpick: Northerly winds in the southern hemisphere (by which I assume you mean winds from the north) also deviate to the east.

And the phenomenon is called the Coriolis effect. It’s more pronounced the faster you’re moving, so getting up slowly and carefully (which you’d probably be doing anyway) will mitigate it.

This is Coriolis?

Both points were brought to bear (although I don’t think Coriolis was added to the problem, but it could be) in

This video has the operator walking on the wall. He subs in someone else to man the switch. This is a sloped wall graviton type.
