No, we rather like to think he enjoyed his little trip into town for some shopping and munchies. Gave him a break.
It would not be a crime to for the women to transport her deceased husband to the nearest town or place to contact the coroner.
ROTFL!
When I worked in a mortuary in Oakland several times I had to transport dead people to SFO for shipping, and yes, I did use the carpool lane to cross the Bay Bridge, without being stopped.
Where, exactly, are the tire marks?
I transported my dead father in the back of my pickup from one funeral home to another. I asked the guy at the first place if that was legal… He just gave me the death certificate and said show this to the cops if they ask anything… But he said nothing beyond that; it was more of a shoulder shrug “who cares?” Type of response
In a casket or body bag, or just, um, so that he looked like he might be napping in the back of the truck? Did you give him a pillow and blanket to enhance the illusion?
Was this because the hospital screwed up and sent the body to the wrong funeral home? I have a friend who is the liaison between the coroner’s dept., and the local funeral homes (it’s an administrative position-- she has a business degree from a tech school, but wow, does she have stories). Anyway, apparently the hospital does screw this up, and they usually call the coroner’s office to move the body from the incorrect funeral home to the correct one.
