Cars and suicide doors

Well, it took them a long time to get everyone to call it a “steering wheel”, replacing the then more-common term “rib-anvil”.

Not if people in both the front & back seats are trying to get out at the same time* – then these doors force them into the same space, and they get in each others’ way. Unlike conventional doors, where each person gets out into the space behind their own door.

*And that is most of the time – generally, everybody gets out once the vehicle arrives at a destination.
