Cars up on blocks -- why?

Yup…and putting your car up on blocks would prevent serious flat spots on the tires!I say that AFTER I just took my “garage stored all winter 1987 Buick Grand National with only 48,000 miles on it” around the block, and listened to the tires go “Thoka Thaka Thoka thaka” as the neighbors chuckled and pointed.

Maine joke: “How do you tell the tich people from the poor people in Maine?”
Answer: The rich people have TWO old cars up on blocks, the poor people only have ONE!

Wellsir, no one’s hit upon the obvious answer yet: cars are put up on blocks to provide shade for the dogs. You see, since many jurisdictions now require skirting along the bottom of mobile homes, the dogs have no place to escape the blazing sun. Naturally, a man’s got to take care of his family.

As to the tires on the roof: helps hold down the portable domicile during tornados.
