Most people are familiar with the normal car brand “badges.” Chevy is a bow tie, Ford is a blue oval, Honda an H, etc. I was driving with my son when he asked me what kind of car that one was… well, because it had the familiar leaping deer I told him it was an Impala. He asked who made it and I told him Chevy. He then asked why there wasn’t the bow tie anywhere. It then dawned on me that we were driving in a Ford Mustang, and there is not a blue oval anywhere on the car. So, Impalas and Mustangs have their own unique badges… I think Corvettes do also, but I also think they may sport the bow tie. Are there any other cars that wear only their own unique badge and not the manufacturer’s? ---

The Malibu has the Bowtie on the front but a different logo on the back. At least it used to, I had to go back a ways to find [this](http://static.cargurus.com/images/site/2009/08/13/11/54/1999-chevrolet-malibu-pic-31162.jpeg). Thunderbirds have different logos. I’ve never looked close enough to see if the Ford emblem is integrated into it at all. ---

May not qualify: Dodge Rams usually have a unique badge, although it does IIRC incorporate the Dodge logo. Dodge Vipers also, I think, had a unique badge. ---

Dodge Viper. But come to think of does Dodge even have a badge? Yes Joey you’re correct T-birds don’t sport any ford emblems. ---

The Corvette has its own logo that incorporates the Chevy bowtie as well as a checkered flag and a fleur de lis. ---

Some of the T-Bird badges do say FORD on the tail, but I think that is close enough. The Malibu badge still has the bow tie in it. The Dodge Ram seems to have replaced the normal Dodge badge… here is a 2008 Challnger with the Ram badge on the hood. Do they still use it or was it for a particular model? Does the second one really count as a badge? I knew that they almost always just use their name or the name of the model. ---

My favorite is the Celica, which has a logo which appears to be some sort of mythical creature. Is it a swan? A dragon? A dragon-swan? This is a major subject of debate on the enthusiast forums. Use of both make and model badges and nameplates is cyclically fashionable. The current trend is minimalism. ---

Well, certainly not since 2002, since the Cougar was discontinued that year (the last body style was introduced for the 1999 model year). For that matter, no car has worn the Mercury badge (which screamed “1980s” to me) since the beginning of 2011, as the brand name was shut down by Ford at that point. ---
