Is there a special occasion? Is it not often on? In the US I have not idea if it airs much on accessible cable channels. I pull out my copy around once a year. Glorious.

My DVD copy has a commentary by Roger Ebert. It’s been a while since I listened to it, but I remember the one thing he mentioned was that much of the cast (even those playing the Nazis) were refugees from Europe so the emotion during the La Marseillaise scene was genuine.
