Most of the links posted by \*\*Therabel6 \*\*feature JLD in fairly constructive clothing wherein a relatively small bosom can be made to look much more substantial. In [this episode](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1211182/), JLD has a lengthy scene where she does housework in just a bra. I can’t find a video link, but JLD won’t be mistaken for Salma Hayek in this footage. ---

Agreed - that is what I have been saying. They are emphasizing the breasts via low cut, boosting, shaping, perhaps even padded bras. They link to an article claiming Kate Hudson had implants based purely on 1 photo comparison. The old photo has her in a bikini top - a thin, unsupported bikini top. The new picture has her in a bra, an actual undergarment designed to support and shape her boobs. It is very likely the bra is a “Wonderbra” or the like, i.e. designed to make small ones look bigger, enhance what is there. Similarly, the comments on that article are from the biggest bunch of blind, naive, uninformed idiots this side of youtube. Someone on there adamant “they can’t be real, they are too big”. I can find pictures online (though definitely not passing the Safe For Work filters) of plenty of real boobs bigger than those. I’m sure you can, too. I just don’t think her boobs are that large, but I’m willing to reassess if I can do so in person. ---

Hi all - I’m the OP. In post 25 I said I had no knowledge of Christina Hendricks but that she appeared busty in the pics. Having now seen Mad Men - I am happy to concur with those who cited her in previous posts. Very happy. But though I may be slated for saying so I don’t think Kirsten Vangsness is busty - I’d say her boobs were commensurate with the rest of her body. As for JL-D - no chance, no way. As I said at the start maybe Mrs Macau has skewed my view, but to ressurect this thread in order to give _her_ chest as an example of a busty actress?? As has been said above cup size is dependent on a number of things but put those pics into perspective. What is she 5’2"? I haven’t seen the programme - is it possible the writers were somehow being ironic in an emporer’s new clothes kind of way by repeatedly stating that a quite obviously normal sized chest was busty in order to make a point about men’s vacuous attitudes to women? Is that too much too ask? Therabel6/J L-D - I think you’re funny and you’re successful and you’ve got a body of work and maybe even a body that’s had work done, - but not busty. As I and others have said here - having breasts does not equal being busty. Here’s hoping all dopers enjoy the holidays in the bosom of their families. MiM ---

Actually, I just enjoy thinking of all those oppressed busty actresses … mmmm … and Laura San Giacomo is about the bustiest of them … and the one who has done the least with them, that has them, if you know what I mean. Sort of the opposite of Julia Dreyfuss. ---

Patricia Heaton does indeed have a very flattering figure. Years ago I was being surveyed by a market research company. They showed several TV clips and asked me what ages they would be appropriate for. One of the clips was from _Everybody Loves Raymond_, which I’d never watched. I wasn’t dating anyone at the time, so I was probably a little…anxious…and I could not take my eyes off of Heaton. Then they showed the commercial, a spot for a popular toothpaste. The clinical data in the ad actually converted me right there, but I pointed out that the beginning of the piece was so boring and generic that I never would have watched it to get the data that converted me. My suggestion was that a figure like Heaton’s would have hooked viewers in long enough to get to the pertinent information, and I stand by that. As a TV looker, Patricia Heaton is very underrated. ---
