Cat is to Kittens as Rat is to...?

I think Mouse_Maven has pretty well covered the advice thing except that I’d toss in a small box of some sort for her to hide the babies in. Something like a Kleenex or cigarette tube box would be fine. Shred up some paper towel for her and just leave it in the box. She’ll sort it out herself.

I’ve had trouble with hairless babies too. Usually though, once they’re a day or two old and still uneaten, Mom’s going to raise them.

Late last night, I noticed some that weren’t moving. The ritten count is down to 5, which is a bit sad. But hopefully momma will be better able to care for these babies. They look healthy and squirmy and happy. They look like they’re trying to figure out walking, too. Precocious little buggers–it took me almost a year!
