Since there is no door to your daughter’s room you could always add one when your budget allows.
That will at least solve the cat peeing on her bed but the cat might then start peeing somewhere else.

We have an awesome cat that was hanging on with his last paw after pissing everywhere in the house. We kept the litterbox clean, took him to the vet (who gave us kitty downers which didn’t help), and lots of different methods. The almost final straw was when he pissed in our bed…while I was sleeping in it…on me. We’ve been 6 months without problems since we implemented some changes:
We use Cat Attract litter. The cat actually comes around sniffing when I pour more into his box. The stuff works.
Wash and clean everything! The comforter, sheets, etc need to be washed in warm water with detergent AND apple vinegar. I read that trick somewhere and since then, the cat hasn’t used the bed because he can’t smell the previous marking.
Mattress moisture protector. Yeah, I know. Gross. But urine goes through the sheets into the mattress and that smell is really nasty when your face is right next to it. If there’s a future mistake, it makes clean up that much quicker.
How long has it been since she’s seen the vet? UTIs can come on fast, so if it’s been a month or even a few weeks, I’d have her rechecked. I am only saying this because I’ve heard so many times people say that their peeing cat has been “checked by the vet”, but what they really mean is they took the cat in last spring for a check up or shots and the cat was OK back then.
