That’s so funny. Its odd though, I remember reading an article saying that cats rarely meow at each other, its a sound they tend to reserve mainly for humans. Though, I suppose those sounds are not really typical meows, so maybe that’s correct… ---

Behaviorists call it trilling. It’s done as much to acknowledge the human as the other kitteh, maybe more so the human. ---

[/QUOTE] I’ve seen my two cats communicating through meows and other sounds. It’s rare (they normally just talk to us, rather than each other), but it definitely happens on a regular basis. When we moved, both kittehs went into separate carriers. They played a game of kitty Marco Polo the whole way from point A to point B, as if to make sure that the other was still there. (Morgan also chitters when she sees birds. It’s pretty obvious she’s talking to herself, rather than to us, as she’ll do it even if we’re in another room) ---

My cat came in here to check out the computer when I was watching it. He seemed to get bored with it after a few seconds. I guess those cats aren’t his type. ---

My old fluffy nutter didn’t seem to enjoy it as much as I did. She watch it for about 10 seconds and then trotted off. The translation one is hilarious. ---

My cat wouldn’t bother looking at the screen long enough, though I know he’s capable of conversation. Dexter talks to my mother’s dog whenever they come to visit. I think the conversation goes a bit like this: “If you sniff my butt again, I’m going to rub poison ivy all over your blanket\*.” (\*AKA - the girlfriend. He’s a fixed cocker spaniel, but if you leave a blanket around, he gets frisky.) My cat can handle himself. You betcha! ---
