**KidC** , I had the _exact_ same feelings around page 100. I felt like I was getting whacked over the head with an irony-pan and I almost stopped reading. But shortly after the Major Major chapter, I thought it really picked up. The irony became a little more subtle and the plot became a lot more obvious. I finished it yesterday, and by the end, I was completely absorbed.
