# Catfishing and Telegram, WhatsApp, etc

[I had one approach me on Facebook last May.](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/facebook-is-the-worst-thinking-about-getting-rid-of-it/962354/58) Same deal: they were insisting that I switch from Facebook’s chat interface to some other one, which I don’t remember, until I blocked 'em.
