Once we had a house cat that loved bream. We had a fish pond stocked with catfish but usually always caught several small bream. Our cat was always there to eat the bream. We had to be careful to get the fish off the hook before the cat grabbed it. Just as soon as he saw you pulling a fish out of the water he would be waiting on it to hit the ground. But he didn’t like catfish and wouldn’t bother them.
