In our rental house the renter had a clog, after taking a shower fortunately, and it turned out the drain line was cement-impregnated fiber which in the 50+ years since construction, had collapsed.
I had never heard of such a thing and it was 8-grand to fix. On top of that we suspended the rent for the two weeks the place was uninhabitable plus kicked in $30 a day to help towards the motel room she took.
