We have an early leader for **Stupidest SDMB Poster of the Year:2006**. **Updike** has been spotted making a nuisance of himself in a few other threads, but hasn’t yet managed to quite recapture his form of last year. **New Iskander** after showing some promise in the latter part of last year has faded from the scene lately. **Clothahump** has been showing some early promise with a few of his rants and has a solid base on which to build. But, **CBEscapee** with his obsessive accusations of American racist immigration policy, unsupported assertions, wilful misreading of cites, and evasive non-sequiturs is clearly outdistancing the competition so far. ---

Sometimes I get off to a slow start, but I have 354 days to really build up some momentum.
