Snarking about CBS’s News division and their standards is sort of becoming low-hanging fruit… [![](https://img.youtube.com/vi/2_LTNcZzYP0/maxresdefault.jpg "Toddler airlifted to hospital after getting bitten by rattlesnake bite in Colorado") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_LTNcZzYP0) ---

Bitten by a bite? How did the bite bite her? ---

With its teeth teeth, I assume. ---

Yeesh, what a horrible situation. My youngest kid is around that age and it sounds absolutely terrifying to go through something like that. I hope she makes a full recovery. There’s been a big spike in rattlesnake bites this year, three deaths here in California alone. ---

Well, yeah, the story itself is quite horrifying and appropriately newsworthy. It’s the lack of proofreading on the title that I’m poking at though. ---

Oh, I totally missed that. I think you can message a YouTube channel author, I’ll see if I can let them know they made a typo when uploading the clip. It’s a local state affiliate channel, they probably just have a recent marketing grad posting their clips for them. My sister in law had a job like that once. ---

At my last pharmacist job, in the Ozarks, they had antivenin in the refrigerator. I never saw it ordered, but another pharmacist said they would always come in right before the pharmacy was supposed to close, and that took for--------ev--------er to reconstitute, and couldn’t be shaken to speed it up because it would lose effectiveness. The issue wasn’t even so much “I want to go home now” as “There’s a person upstairs who’s dying, and this stuff won’t dissolve.”
