this is the future why do we still need to interrupt TV for everytime the President speaks. There’s enough channels and the Internet that I don’t need to be inconvenienced and have my whole morning ruined because Obama needs to spread his agenda. Now he is answering questions and we’re not gonna be able to see them spin the big wheel or even do the showcase showdown at this rate why can’t Obama plan his schedule better ---

Don’t you understand? If he can plan the budget for the entire government at it’s actual retail price without going over, the sequester goes away. And the White House gets a lovely dinette set. ---

He’s easily the most egotistical president we’ve every had. I can remember back to Reagan, and no president has wallowed in his celebrity status the way Obama has. Congratulations. We elected the Kardasians. ---

Look, I voted for Obama twice, but I’m with the OP. I hate this shit. Why is it assumed that I need to know what Obama is saying _right now_, when I could surely go watch the whole thing (or save time and read a summary) any time I wanted on the Internet. If it’s not a national emergency, there’s just no need to interrupt the program I was actually trying to watch. That said, I don’t blame Obama for this, I blame the media. They could just put up a little banner on the bottom saying “To see the Obama press conference, please turn to channel X, or go to [www.shitobamasez.com](http://www.shitobamasez.com)”. It’s the 21st century already. ---

Yeah, I said this when ABC interrupted Charlie Brown for notice of Whitney Houston’s death. Network TV at noon is often pre-empted for an Obama press conference. Ticks me off no end when the 12 Noon news gets pre-empted. Noon news is awesome – almost no fluff, no sappy long stories of hardship, no news stories where they report on the news that is just a preview of that nights show (attention FOX: what happened last night on American Idol doesn’t need an in-depth analysis by a guy who didn’t win two years ago.) Anyway, such are the problems of the unemployed – we try to fill our day with the _ **least** _ annoying TV possible. And that task started out difficult enough, without added complications. It is funny 'tho. When I was in junior high, press conferences were set for 4:00 PM, always pre-empting my after-school cartoons. Funny how that stopped. I figure Bush Sr., Clinton, and Dubya didn’t feel like depriving people of the Donahue, then Oprah, fix. ---
