# CBS reflects on its complicity in Clinton's loss

By mocking and demonizing Trump supporters you killed any chance of reaching them.

I always tried to explain that I was a solid conservative and voting for Clinton because I had good reasons, and I like to think I made some inroads. I take some credit for keeping Virginia in her column.

But what this author describes is real. and it doesn’t go away by calling her stupid, racist, or bigoted.
