I heard he used to sit on the roofs of academic buildings at Berkeley with Tipper Gore, Timothy Leary, and Bill the Cat and argue whether trees dream while smoking banana peels.

You don´t actually smoke the banana peels, you scrape the inside of around 10 pounds of bananas and boil it…on second thought, my knowledge of this banana thing is embarassing and anyway it doesn´t work

…or so I´ve heard.  
I can imagine a tree dreaming, but how does it smoke?
