If cecil’s words can help with my [current predicament](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=326930) I may revere his existence like everyone else seems to. Until then he’s as much value to me as God, Astrology, and Scientology. I.e. little. ---

The Old Man seems to turn up every 3 months or so, leave one terse post, and withdraw. Perhaps we should analyze these hen’s-teeth postings like the entrails of a sacrificial lamb. Then again, maybe not. ---
