The Neptunes, along with Timbaland are responsible for a vast amount of the pop music around today. Their most recent high-profile effort was on Justin Timberlake’s new album. ---

It stands for “No-one Ever Really Dies”, and is the recording name for the Neptunes, uber-producers of hip-hop at the moment (i.e. it’s the name they use when they release their own material, as opposed to producing someone else’s). ---

I wish I had a firm cite for this, but I was listening to Larry Elder this afternoon, and he read aloud a letter from Brad Pitt (to whom? I don’t know; that’s why I wish I had a cite) that said, in part, “ **Don’t** listen to me; I’m just an actor. I **have** an opinion because I’m a citizen, but I don’t expect everyone to listen to it.” So there’s at least one celebrity you can leave out when you’re lining them all up for a smack. ---

**spooje** … I don’t know what you mean by “over here,” but they are American, the land of _Revenge of the Nerds_ and the ensuing sequels. I’m pretty sure they know what it means. Maybe they though it was amusing to name their hip-hop group N.E.R.D., considering the macho posturing the genre is famed for.
