O.K., these are kind of embarassing, but I find them oddly attractive: Chelsea Clinton Sandra Bernhardt The woman who does Bart Simpson’s voice (I don’t know how I forgot her name since it’s in the credits of every episode, but I did.) Maybe these next two don’t count. They’re probably both good-looking by any standard, but I don’t think they’re “supermodel” kind of attractive, so I’ll include them: Sandra Oh - was on the HBO show _Arliss_, and had a part in _The Red Violin_, etc. She kind of has an odd-shaped face, but there’s something very sexy about her. Mary Lynn Rajskub - “24”, and _The Larry Sanders Show_. I think we’ve talked about her in previous threads. ---

Tina Majorino, from Napoleon Dynamite. Yep, she’s the former child star, ten years later, looking rather elfin, like Bjork. The silly ponytail out the side of her head is quite endearing. Also a big fan of Alyson Hannigan and Gillian Anderson. They sort of define the term “believably gorgeous.” Unlike, say, Pamela Anderson or Carmen Electra, they look like actual people instead of like genetically modified supermodels. They look ordinary enough that you have no trouble believing they’re the character they portray, but just beautiful enough that you can’t look away. More Mary Ann than Ginger, more Baily Quarters than Loni Anderson. ---

Try as I might, I can’t really think of anybody who belongs in here right now. (Most of the people listed are more “I can’t explain why they’re hot” than “most people think they’re ugly but I don’t.”) I do think Janeane Garofalo is very attractive (more so with the dark hair), but I don’t think that’s so unusual given what I’ve heard from other people, especially Dopers. My girlfriend likes her too, so if we can just broach the subject to Janeane… 😉 Would I be unusual for saying Tori Amos has _je ne sais quot_ in spades? Lastly, I have kind of a crush on Judi Dench, but it’s not sexual - though I’m told she used to be something to see. ---

I’ll jump on Billy Bob Thornton…I mean, his bandwagon. 😉 I definitely agree about Gary Sinise, and will add [David Hyde Pierce](http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001383/) and [Miguel Ferrer](http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001208/). That _voice_! Oddly enough, I first discovered both Sinise and Ferrer in _The Stand_…these days, Ferrer can be seen as the boss on _Crossing Jordan_. ---

I’m almost afraid to admit this…but… I found Walter Matthau rather sexy. Just something about that lisp of his. _sigh_ I miss him. _G_ and I have to agree with Alton Brown…he’s too cute for words. Oh, and Daniel Davis of The Nanny and as Professor James Moriarty on ST:TNG. Mmm something about his sarcastic wit. And he has a great voice. ---

To echo others’ observations, there’s way too many conventionally attractive names in this thread. Mine: J.T. Walsh (yeah, I know he’s dead) Eli Wallach (his younger self; he turns 89 this year) John Belushi Michael Ironside (balding toughguy character actor) Powers Boothe (see above) Michael Kitchen (older Brit character actor) “Bratpack”-er Judd Nelson (on the basis of his dark charisma alone, and not his flaring nostrils) Klaus Maria Brandauer (doughy Austrian character actor) deranged game-show pioneer Chuck Barris (in his “Gong Show” days) sports announcer Al Michaels tightly-wound ABC reporter John McWethy (White House, Pentagon, Defense Dept. beat) Tony Levin (totally bald musician; plays bass and Chapman Stick) and perhaps most disturbingly: Bill O’Reilly. Yes, he’s obnoxious, full of himself, intellectually dishonest, overbearing, rude and unfair to his guests, and has his head up his rear end on many issues, but he’s also strangely appealing, in a Cher-meets-Jack Nicholson-in-“The Witches of Eastwick” sort of way. So I don’t watch his show; too much internal conflict. ---

When Steven Wright was younger and had a full head of hair, I thought he was quite hot. Some men can carry baldness, but he hasn’t turned out to be one of them. ☹ Kiefer and Donald Sutherland both share that incredible voice. It doesn’t matter what they look like! ---
