Rich’s demand that “everyone needs to bring something to the table (in terms of donations)” is entirely reasonable. Every single person can attract meaningful donations. It doesn’t matter what the SIZE of those donations are (Hatch and NeNe have an uphill road in that regard), but “meaningful” is relative, and can be based on nothing other than effort. Jose said before he left “I can’t bring anything to the table”. That’s ridiculous. But his dad was dying (and in fact, died a month or so ago), and I cannot blame him for leaving to be with him. Well, Jose pretty much burnt all his bridges with the MLB and pissed on the ashes when he wrote _Juiced_, so I’m not surprised he doesn’t have many high rollers he can hit up. And I don’t know why anyone would think Richard Hatch has a bunch of rich friends, or at least rich enough to be able to drop a five or six figure donation on the spot. He’s never been in show business. He doesn’t run in high powered corporate circles. He’s just some guy who won a reality show (and then went to prison when he failed to pay the taxes on his winnings). ---

I said they had to raise “a meaningful amount of money” which I specifically said was entirely relative to the person raising that money. Shit. I just figured out that no one is getting fired tonight. Probably because Canseco left. Trump is just going to give them all blow jobs for getting rich friends to write checks for charity and let them all go. I hate when no one gets fired. It feels like a rip off. ---

I personally detest the “who has the richest friends” approach to the game, but I suppose if they really want to get rid of Richard, this is their best opportunity to throw him under the bus. ---

1. It’s stupid to fire Hatch over not raising money. He didn’t put the effort in, but if you’re going to focus so much of the conversation on “who’s least valuable going forward” and every. single. person. says it’s Busey, you need to fire Busey. That was all about the ratings. 2. Busey whispering to Matlin is hilarious. The look on her face was priceless. Edit: And on preview, I see exactly why Trump wanted Busey around. ---

They all totally profiled Gary when Meat Loaf though he ripped off his bag too. They all just assumed Meat was right until they found the bag. I was wrong about the firing, but it was a stupid _reason_ for a firing. If not having rich friends is a criterion for getting fired, then why was he cast at all? I hate the cell phone challenges.
