Aubrey O’Day seems to be quite proud of herself for being famous. I, for one, have never heard of her… Victoria Gotti is one scary woman. Cursory search and Aubrey O’Day has never been mentioned on the dope in the last two years ---

Cheryl was the right choice because she’s not backstabby enough to play this game. The Gotti/gangster schtick is going to get old quickly. Never heard of Aubrey O’Day either but I’m pretty sure I don’t like her. ---

I don’t have schizophrenic tastes in TV or anything, but I couldn’t watch this because I had to watch the _Downton Abbey_ season finale. Does it look like it will be a good season? ---

This was the very first Apprentice (celebrity or otherwise) that I’ve ever seen. Two comments. First, the two hours was waaaaay too long. They really had to pad that to get it to fill up the entire time slot. The same episode could have easily been told in an hour. Second, that was a complete bullshit challenge. Are they always like that? Look, if you can call someone in and have them give $300,000 to your charity, doesn’t it fundementally break the game you’re playing? Does the entire series even matter any more? You’re only playing for $250,000 as a grand prize and you pulled twice that in on challenge #1. I don’t know. I think that any game that’s designed where you could literally tell Donald Trump “fuck you, I’m not selling a goddamned sandwich” call your friend and have a check written for $150,000 and then win the game seems really messed up to me. If the challenge is to sell sandwiches, sell sandwiches! If the challenge is to fundraise, then fundraise! But don’t confuse the two. ---

I think they’ve got a good cast of celebrities. Its still early but I saw several that should emerge as very strong players. I wish they hadn’t cast the lady that runs her own charity and is playing for it. I didn’t feel comfortable watching her because this was too personal. This show isn’t a game to her. It was horrible seeing all that money her donors gave get taken away to the other team. I predict a melt down before too much longer. Her charity obviously needs money and I can’t see her keeping any objectivity. I understand its a game and the money raised did go a another great charity. Anyone think Paul Teutul will last more than a episode or two? Calling George Takei, Star Trek guy, was pretty insulting. Then he calls George a wimp in the Boardroom. Wow. It seemed like several of the guys were biting their lips not to confront Teutul. I see a large bus running him down very soon. 😃 ---

Patricia Velasquez is the celebrity playing for her own charity. I’d never heard of her before. Playing Apprentice is putting a lot more pressure than usual on her because this is so personal. I’ve had to look up several of the ladies that I’d never heard of. Teresa Giudice, Aubrey O’Day, Dayana Mendoza are complete unknowns for me. I guess I’m not up on pop culture. 😉 I’m looking forward to seeing how Michael Andretti does. He’s filling in for his son who had to pull out. Michael has an incredible reputation in racing as a driver and also an owner of a team. Of course, I’m out of her demographic - then again, I’m equally as out of Cheryl Tiegs’s demographic, but I’ve heard of _her_. But yes, I think she wildly overestimates her popularity. Is this all there is to the celebrity version, though? Call everyone famous you know and ask them to donate money? Because, while that’s great for charity, it’s less-than-compelling television. ---

They really should just make the whole show revolve around Adam Corolla’s quips, which were by far the best part of the show. At least I recognize a large portion of the cast this time; there’s promise for later episodes. ---

I don’t watch that Chopper show, but from the clips I’ve seen on _The Soup_, **Pau** l was surprisingly mild. I was kind of surprised how mild **Lou** was too. I do think that **George** should have been a little more aggressive though. And while I know all of the guys, I only know of about half of the women. **Aubrey** mentioned being in a double or triple platinum selling group. Like everybody else here, I’ve never heard them (or her) either. ---

There are always a few challenges like that in CA but there are also plenty of “Who can come up with a better marketing program for company X?” During these episodes, which are basically an hour long commercial for company X, we get to see Trump fawn over the executives while the contestants totally misunderstand what the executives want. In the end, the results will be really close, but the team that they liked the most was…go to commercial. ---

It’s also one of the reasons the reality stars, beauty queens and other pseudo-celebrities don’t last long (unless they’re train wrecks, in which case they’re kept on for the entertainment value) - they’re folks who didn’t come up though the entertainment industry or sports world or some other high-dollar business and don’t have too many friends they can hit up for a five or six figure donation. ---

It will give me an embarrassingly large amount of joy when Trump calls him out on his BS and fires him. I’m sure a little investigating will show that the “anonymous” person that donated that check is somehow associated with OCC. ---

I had no idea who she was either. One of the people I was watching it with (my friend threw a CA kickoff shindig – don’t judge me!) explained that she was in one of Diddy’s many failed music groups. I remember that he had a chick “band,” but fuck if I could pick one of them out of a lineup. My comments: Aubrey “Failed Diddy Chick Group” O’Day seems full of herself, which got annoying right away, plus her mane is ridiculous. Someone needs to address that. Debbie Gibson would not shut the fuck up about her how amazing she thinks her music and voice are. Does she not remember “Only in My Dreams?” One of the best parts of the episode was when Trump asked her about her contributions to the project in the boardroom, and she immediately started the spiel about her “gift of music” once more, but he cut her off and said something like, “Nobody cares; get to the point.” I would like Gotti to be eliminated quickly so that I don’t have to sit through a whole season of gangster jokes. Trump is a misogynistic douchebag once again, suggesting that Dayana Mendoza only can raise money from boys who think she’s pretty. She is beyond gorgeous, by the way. I know, I know, Miss Universe and all of that, but usually those girls look like plastic replicas of one another to me. She looks like an actual human being who really dang pretty. Still, unlike trump, I have no reason to believe looking good in heels is the only discernible skill that she has. I’d never heard of Patricia Velasquez, but I really, really like her. She strikes me as just as sweet as she is tough. Great combo. ---

Whew, I am glad I am not alone. No one seems to know who Aubrey O’Day is. No one in this thread appears to fessing up on who she is. Has anyone heard of her. And like another poster, I knew who all the guys were, but only about couple of the gals. The only reason why singling out O’Day is because she told me that she was famous and has more twitter followers than anyone on her team. :dubious: Victoria Gotti is 49 years old. She looked 69 years old. Scary looking woman. I predicted Cheryl Tiegs would be in contention. How wrong was that? Time has not been good to her either. When she was in _Las Vegas_ a few years as James Caan’s wife, she looked pretty. ---
