Seeger came to see Woody Guthrie, Arlo’s Daddy, when he was dying in the hospital. They were both folk musicians. Seeger said in an NPR interview that Woody had taught him how to jump a freight. 🙂 ---

I didn’t agree with Seeger’s leftest politics but I enjoyed a lot of his music. Some of his songs were sung by the folk group Peter, Paul and Mary, whose politics I didn’t agree with either, but whose music I loved. ---
