When Eric Flint started his 1632 series I tried to visualize the faces of the characters as they were described, and Rebhorn was, for me, the face of John Simpson, who went from an unlikeable bastard to a respected character(if not loved) as the leading naval officer of the USE. ---

What did “GWAR” stand for, anyway? In _The Watchmen_ it stood for, IIRC, “Gay Women Against Rape”. Is the band name an Alan Moore reference? ---

Actually, Brockie wasn’t that much of a party animal (comparatively). His roommate found him Sunday sitting up in a chair, no drugs or any other substances i with him. I didn’t know him, but I have a lot of friends that did. There’s a surprising amount of overlap between the Richmond and Norfolk music scenes. ---
