I saw _TLGF_ in the theater, when it first came out. I don’t know why I went, it was not the kind of film I normally would go to see. But it was truly a good movie, and it was the first time I ever saw Hoskins in a film. Now those of you who’ve seen it, tell me. In the Turkish bath scene did you scrunch your eyes up and ask yourself “Is that _Pierce Brosnan_?” Hoskins did have a gift for comedy though, as anyone who’s seen _“Who Framed Roger Rabbit?”_ would agree. ---

His father, maestro concert violinist Efrem Zimbalist Sr. lived to be 95 or 96. (Wikipedia is unsure of his birth year). Seems as if that family has got some serious longevity genes. ---
