Hockey Legend [Jean Béliveau](http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/beliveau-obituary/) passes away at age 83. He was one of my Mom’s celebrity crushes. I hope she looks him up in heaven and gets his autograph. Another Hockey Legend, Gordie Howe is in bad health. Surprised no one has picked him yet in the 2015 Pool. I think he is low hanging fruit. ---

RIP to Ralph Baer, pioneer of video games. Remember that sticker on the computer of Mr. Green in “Crash Course” that says: “This Machine Kills Fascists”? It was originally a message that Woody Guthrie placed on his guitar in 1941. Well, Baer fled Germany before the war and then killed them for real (not directly, but by smarts) as a military intelligence officer. Then he killed Space Invaders… > **[Report: The Father Of Video Games, Ralph Baer, Has Passed Away](https://kotaku.com/the-father-of-video-games-ralph-baer-has-passed-away-1667980395)** > > Some very sad news this evening: Gamasutra reports that Ralph Baer, widely regarded as the father of the video game industry, has passed away at the age of 92.
