> [@eschereal](#): > > If my math is right, 53 of us failed to reap any points in the 2015 game. I am incensed by this stat. All you slackers need to get on the ball in 2016 and get some deaths so I can claim last place all to myself. ---

> [@RTFirefly](#): > > On a different topic, do you remember what happened to the [2002 Death Pool thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=101918)? It kinda petered out in early July of that year for no apparent reason. Perhaps it was due to a lot of players’ lists having been lost in a board crash that people in the thread refer back to. (Was that the infamous Winter Of Our Missed Content? I can’t remember anymore.) Yes, it was a casualty of the Great Board Crash. While they were able to resurrect recent threads, a lot of old threads were lost - and a large portion of that year’s Deathpool were among the posts which were gone. ---

I would like to thank the academy … oh wait, wrong speech! Since apparently the new year has not endowed me with sparkling wit … I will just say thanks for all the congrats, condolences to the families who lost folks & better luck next year to everyone else. I must say _I_ never expected my 4 point lead to hold up! Thanks again Baker for all the work & heart (I hesitate to say soul  ) you put in to this! ---
