There’s a rumor from news sources in India that Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has died of wounds recieved in an attack several days ago. It’s not on any major networks though, I’ll wait to see. ---

Not a celebrity as such, but Oscar-winning cinematographer [Andrew Lesnie](http://www.theaustralian.com.au/arts/andrew-lesnie-oscar-winning-cinematographer-dead/story-e6frg8n6-1227325016212) died yesterday of a heart attack at age 59. He worked on such films as the entire _Lord of the Rings_\* series, _Babe_, and _Rise of the Planet of the Apes_. \*You may recognise him from his jovial appearances on the _Lord of the Rings_ DVD appendices/BTS documentaries. ---

And this was the cinematography for _Lord of the freakin’ Rings_, after all. More than a few people saw his prize-winning handiwork. ---
