It was my favorite Dickens book and I thought the play was wonderful. And, of course, he was great on _Cheers_. ---

Oh, that breaks my heart. I saw him in Nicholas Nickleby on TV as well and it is still the best play I have ever “seen”. Also wonderful as Lord John Marbury on _The West Wing_. I thought he was slumming on _Cheers_. So sad. RIP, sir. ---
