IIRC, the day he got cut from the team, he went out and got drunk and wound up killing himself when he drove off the road and hit a highway sign. I still remember my brother’s comment: “I can’t believe it! He hit the upright again!” ---

He [failed to score](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Little_%28American_football%29#Dismal_professional_career.2C_tragedy), ending up a quadriplegic. At the time of the accident, he would have been worth 76 points, but he lingered on for a bit, until finally coughing up 57 points, to no one in particular. ---

It’s odd how we tend to think in terms of points. I’m tempted to have how many points I leave behind carved on my tombstone. No one here can collect of course ----- but I’m sure I’m in someone’s list somewhere. 😉 ---
