About a week late, but it hasn’t been mentioned in the thread yet: [The actress Miriam Colon died last week.](http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/movies/2017/03/04/miriam-colon-latina-theater-actress-dies/98732650/) Possibly best known for playing Al Pacino’s mother in _Scarface_, but i associate her most closely with her role as cafe owner Mercedes Cruz in John Sayles’ fantastic _Lone Star_. ---
