My theory: he was actually guilty of the two killings for which he’d just been acquitted and the cumulative guilt of everything weighing on him led him to cash in his chips. And good riddance to him. ---

Our theory at the gym this morning was that he was able to avoid the idea of spending the rest of his life in prison on the first charge by the distraction of the second trial, but when it was over, he realized that instead of running off to court and having visitors and so forth, he’d be sitting in a cell for the rest of his life. When that realization sunk in, he decided to end it. ---
