It’s been a busy end of the week, so I didn’t find out about al-Binali’s death until checking in here today. That’s the ideal way to take the lead AFAIAC (however transitory my lead might be!), with the death of someone that none of us will shed any tears over. 😃 ---

But without going into a lot of detail, the sourcing for his claimed 9/3/84 birth date isn’t what I’d call strong, either (a bio written by a student). So: > [@](#): > > 1.
