"An Atlanta rapper who called himself “bulletproof” after surviving 10 shootings was shot and killed by an unidentified gunman Sunday evening in DeKalb County, Ga., according to officials. Yung Mazi — who had collaborated with big-name artists such as Rich Homie Quan and Yung Thug — was gunned down in the Kirkwood neighborhood of Atlanta, the DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s office said." NOT on my list of (supposed) doomed celebrities. Hell, he’d been shot ten times, more than a cat could take. Didn’t he do another film from the Charles Portis novel _Norwood_? There was much local todo at the time about an Arkansas actor making films of the novels of an Arkansas author. I worked in a library and spoke to Charles Portis a few times. He was annoyed that I read one of his books from the library rather than buying it, but he was polite. Regarding having his novels filmed, he said something like, “You take their money and forget about it.” A friend of mine related a story at a Portis book signing, where some idiot said to him, “This is for my daughter! She has read all your books!
