Jones was my favorite wrestler as a kid. He and Chief Wahoo McDaniel were an awesome tag team. The thing I remember the most about Paul Jones: having his bald head exposed (“BAAAAAALD Headed Geek!”) accidentally at the end of what I like to call the 30 Minute Rest Hold match (it was right after Jones lost a “hair vs. Big Mama’s hair” match against Jimmy Valiant - Jones was managing Rick Rude & Manny Fernandez when they beat the Rock & Roll Express on TV for the world tag-team titles in a match where it seemed that most of it was Ricky Morton standing in the middle of the ring in some sort of wristlock); Jones was wearing a hat to cover his head, but in the celebration after “Raging & Ravishing” won, it got knocked off - and he shrugged it off rather than make a big deal about trying to cover his head. ---

A couple of different sites say “Avicii stopped performing in 2016, telling fans he was suffering from health problems. He had acute pancreatitis, which was partly because of drinking too much, Variety noted. The DJ’s appendix and gallbladder were removed in 2014.” It’s not a huge stretch to think it could be related. ---
