Another (somewhat less) notable golfer died today. Five time PGATour winner, Phil Rodgers died today at age 80. No citation yet but I doubt if anyone picked him. He won the 1962 Los Angeles Open. That tournament was Jack Nicklaus’s professional debut. He later coached Jack Nicklaus in the short game. ---

The body of Roosevelt Rene was fund in the house of Janoris Jenkins, NY Giants player. Rene was a music producer, going by the name of Trypps Beatz and described himself as “a multi-talented” hip-hop producer and artist."
