MLB players Luis Valbuena and Jose Castillo were [killed in car crash yesterday](https://abc7.com/sports/ex-mlb-players-luis-valbuena-jose-castillo-killed-in-car-crash/4851157/). Valbuena was 33. Castillo was 37. And I am utterly astonished this hadn’t been reported yet. ---

Of all the inventions and technological advances that have become widely available during my lifetime, if I had to keep just one of them, it would be the word processor. I’d rather do without the Internet, if push came to shove. In my case, not only has it made it _easy_ to write competently, it’s made it _possible_ in the first place. It was almost painful to try to write back then, when I desperately wanted to be able to get thoughts down on paper, but with a manual typewriter or pen on paper, my fingers would soon be several paragraphs behind my thoughts, and the whole thing would just collapse. When I get to heaven, I’m gonna give her a big hug, you bet. 🙂 ---
