I’m dropping a few survivors off of last years list. Could be a disaster. Held over from last year: 1 Jerry Remy- Baseball player and announcer. He has survived cancer so many times that I’m not sure he can die. 2 Clive James- author, poet and much more. He was about to die years ago and is still going. 3 Holly Rowe- Sportscaster. She seems to be doing much better now. Keeping her on to help her cause. 4 Mark Gastineau- NFL player. Claims many football related health issues. Still an asshole. 5 Christopher Ayres- Voice over artist/ cartoon actor New for this year: 6 John Andretti- former race car driver 7 Benny Mardones- singer of one of the creepiest songs ever. And it went to #1. Twice. 8 Beth Chapman- Mrs Dog the Bounty Hunter 9 David Koch- Half of the Koch Brothers. His undisclosed health issues might just have been cover for being kicked out of his own company but I’m taking a chance. 10 Abby Lee Miller- Dance Mom 11 Shaun Weiss- actor. Not-so Mighty Duck 12 Matt Millen- NFL player, coach, broadcaster. Just my luck - to pick a Kennedy family member that doesn’t die tragically young. Albert Finney, American actor (born 1936) - despite his seemingly robust health. Clive James, Australian author (born 1939) - Announced he was terminally ill in 2010. DP-tease. Alan Jones, Australian broadcaster (born 1941) - This one is more wishful thinking. Jeannie Little, Australian television personality (born 1938) - Fond memories of watching her on daytime TV with my mother when I was small, now sullied by betting on her death. Bert Newton, Australian television personality (born 1938) - health and mobility issues, and now his 44 year marriage is in peril due to his gambling addiction, according to the highly credible gossip mags. I think Bert’s done. Valerie Harper, American actor (born 1939) - six years into a terminal diagnosis, apparently drinking from the same water source as Clive James. The Amazing Johnathon, American entertainer (born 1958) - also drinking from the Harper/James well. Ben Cousins, retired Australian professional footballer (born 1978) - ongoing drug issues. Either heading for an early grave, or may stumble upon the Keith Richards immortality cocktail.
