**notfrommensa** seems to be trawling obituaries this week. Here’s one that I learned recently. Judge Dredd artist [Ron Smith has died](https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/ron-smith-dead-judge-dredd-artist-ron-was-94-1175211). He was 94, and had long since retired, but through the 80s was a dedicated and distinctive artist for 2000AD comic, doing some of my favourite work, especially in the collections of short strips in the Daily Star newspaper. ---
