Having conjoined twins on one’s list would be interesting but a problem. Unless one or both had celebrity accomplishments, as do regular picks, they might not be eligible, because they were famous just for their condition. ---

Their condition led to their fame, but their fame came from them being entertainers as parts of “freak shows.” Would Andre the Giant have become a famous wrestler if not for his medical condition? The medical condition that ultimately led to his death? Or Verne Troyer, who at 2’ 8" was tiny even for a little person due to cartilage–hair hypoplasia. He got his start as a stunt double for a baby in the John Hughes movie “Baby’s Day Out.” If not for his specific form of dwarfism, he probably would not have been famous. And living to 68 means the twins beat the odds on dying from their condition. Granted, this discussion is largely moot since no one had the twins, but it’s an interesting question as to whether they would be valid picks. You could make an argument either way. Especially if you let other people who used aspects that put them outside of the norm as leverage for becoming famous. ---

They were in the show because they were conjoined twins so again: all they were known for was their condition. I can’t see how being really well known for exploiting their condition makes things different. ---

tough call, but I would think Andre the Giant created a career that made him a celeb, even though he was freakishly large… the twins, however, would not have celebrity beyond their condition. ---

I thought the rule was that a person wasn’t eligible if they are only known for having a terminal illness. Having a physical condition in general isn’t a disqualifier. ---

Actually, rule 3g reads like this . _famous solely as a result of their illness or associated actions/events_ I guess being conjoined might not be interpreted as “illness” But for many such people the only reason we heard of them was their “condition”, so I may rephrase that rule slightly come December. Andre had a wrestling career and was in a couple movies, so he had celebrity outside of his size. ---
