I picked the wrong race-car driver, and the wrong black bluesman. But this is the only competition that I can feel good in some small way for sucking at. Those on my list _really_ appreciate it, I’m sure. ---

I have to admit, this is the worst death pool I’ve ever been apart of-- not one of my guys has keeled. Outside of this board, I’ve lost, or will lose, about sixty bucks in this thing. I think there should be some kind of award for those who pick the most dead people - like me - but only rack up a few points. I think I did the same last year, too. But am too lazy to check. And 2001 still ain’t over. We could lose Bob Hope any day now. (I’m predicting around the 28th of December for him…) ---

It was recently pointed out to me that we have much to thank the late Mr. Harrison for: apart from all that music, he gets credit for saving (financially) “Monty Python’s Life of Brian”.
