Two things: People are chosen for roles, etc. because they’re _striking_, not necessarily good-looking. Striking features like huge eyebrows or lips or distinctive eyes tend to look better on camera than your average person’s sort of washed-out features. That’s why, in my experience, celebrities tend to be sort of weird-looking in real life and not very attractive. Secondly, celebrities are _hyped_ as being hot, whether or not they are, because the average credulous moron who cares about such things can easily be told what to think, i.e. who’s hot. Cha-ching. ---

How? Joel McHale–Imagine waking up next to that. Blech. Ryan Gosling looks like a gosling. Alec Baldwin–Is this a joke? Dylan McDermott–Back me up here, ladies. Your husband is probably hotter. My ex-husband was a jerk and even HE was hotter. None of these guys is hot and moreover, they are actors. You know who was hot? @CIB, no, I have felt this way since the beginning. I was like, what the hell is up with this Brad Pitt thing? “He’s no Brad Pitt,” people would say and I would think, “No, thank god.” BP may be a great person and obviously AJ thinks he’s hot but I think he looks like a monkey. ---

Jennifer Aniston. I’ve heard guys describe her as being nothing short of a goddess, and I can’t see it at all. She’s just so _boring_-looking. As far as dudes go, Colin Farrell.
