Very true. I watched one once with Reggie Jackson, Martina Navratilova, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Reggie got maybe one or two questions right, aand Martina at least made a respectable showing, but Kareem seriously mopped the floor with both of them. It was awe-inspiring.

Time for all the overpaid celebrities to get the smack down on questions too easy for the Teen Tournament.

Did anybody else enjoy seeing Nancy Grace get her hind parts handed to her after crossing out the right answer last night? This is always a period of dire schadenfrude for me.

Anybody else enjoying this guilty pleasure?

I totally forgot it was on! Has Isaac Mizrahi been on yet? I adore him and hope he’s smarter than he sometimes comes across 😃
More people watched Jane Kaczmarek’s show in the average week than watch Red Sox games in an entire season; she’s quite famous, the best actor on a very successful TV show.
I don’t think this is possible. More people watch the Red Sox in the Stadium than watched Malcolm in the Middle in the later seasons.

When the Red Sox won the world series, more people probably watched the Sox in the playoffs than watched MitM the whole season.

That said, I take your point that she is not a “nobody”.

She is a worthy addition to Celebrity Jeopardy.

So what kinds of categories do they have on _Celebrity Jeopardy_?

“The number five”? “Vanilla Ice hits”? “States that end in ‘-ashington’”?

The categories on the show with Doug Savant (_Desparate Housewives_), Jane Kaczmarek (Emmy-nominated actress from _Malcolm in the Middle_ and _Help Me Help You_), and Curt Schilling (pitcher from the Boston Red Sox):

**Jeopardy Round** :

SHILLING (Alex: This is about advertising catchphrases — name the brand.)
STAN THE CONTRACTOR
SAVANTS
ORSON WELLES
A "HOPE"FUL CATEGORY

**Double Jeopardy Round:**
MALCOLM X IN THE MIDDLE
SHINY THINGS
SPORTS
NOVELS
THE BIRDS & THE BEES

I guess that Doug Savant and Jane Kaczmarek are just obscure to me. I don’t watch either Desparate Housewives, Malcolm in the Middle, or Help Me Help You. I should have looked them up before proclaiming them obscure.

Not related to the current crop of shows, which I haven’t seen, but I wanted to share my absolute most favorite Celebrity Jeopardy moment ever.

The contestants were Jason Alexander (George from _Seinfeld_, not Britney’s ex) and two other people I’ve since forgotten.

The answer was read

> [@Alex Trebek](#):
>
> The spleen is often shaped like this, the 10th letter of the alphabet

There is a momentary pause when he finishes, in which all of the contestants realize that the actual question is just “What is the 10th letter of the alphabet?” Then you can see their lips moving. George pulls out his hand and starts obviously and energetically counting off the letters with his fingers, mouthing the letters and pumping his fist with each one. The other contestants are thrown off by his motion, and lose their place. Afraid that he will reach the answer first (since they’d have to start over), they both buzz in and _guess wrong_. George get’s ‘J’ for the win.

The best part: One of the wrong guesses was ‘K’. Yes, dear. I’m sure there’s an organ shaped like a ‘K’. In fact, it’s the lower-case cursive ‘k’; the one with the little loop in it.

One of the earliest celebrity games I ever saw was the one where Cheech Marin ended up the big winner. I always like to be pleasantly surprised that way.
Actually, (and correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure), Cheech actually appeared on _regular_ Jeopardy. Like, the one with the real questions. Evidently he’s an extremely well-respected collector of Chicano art, also.

Cheech Marin was on Celebrity Jeopardy in Season 9 (1992-1993) of the Trebeck era, and back again for Season 14 (1997-1998). He has also appeared in Video Daily Doubles (e.g., “Hi, I’m Cheech Marin. In 1987 I directed and starred in this film whose title was a parody of a Bruce Springsteen hit.”)

Cheech Marin’s erudition on “Celebrity Jeopardy” was a pleasant surprise, but the celeb who really shocked me was Luke Perry, of “Beverly Hills 90210” fame. I had always figured that Luke Perry was just a himbo. If it hadn’t been for “Celebrity Jeopardy” I would never have known that the guy’s got brains as well as looks.

“Recreational drugs”? “Don Johnson’s co-stars”? “Actors whose names rhyme with Kommie Kong”?
