A strange realization has struck in over the past two weeks. I had to do a house call for work. A little girl answered the door. Uopn asking if either of her parents were home, she turned and yelled up the steps: “Mom! Someone who looks like Harry Potter is here!” My entire life has changed since then…and only because, since I found the situatio quite humorous, I told someone about it. Within two days, my new nickname has become Harry Potter. I have spent a lot of time in front of the mirror over the past couple of days as well. At first I didn’t see the resemblance. AARRGGHH. It started filling in:( My glasses are the same shape, though a little bigger. I tend to stick out my bottom teeth when I smile, which Harry Potter does as well. My hair tends to fall in the same unkempt manner, as there is really no way to style it. There is one big difference, though. I have a goat-tee which I have shaved once in the last ten years. Thank God for that small bit of facial hair or I fear I just may get cast for one of the future Harry Potter movies. Anyway…are there any other celebrity look-alikes here? Any stories (good or bad) about the resemblances? ---

This was six or seven years ago, back when I was still a college student. For whatever reason, I had a bit of a moustache and goatee at the time as well, since gone (my girlfriend at said college believed this is a phase all men go through, more or less; she might be right). In any event, I was getting ready to fly home for Thanksgiving or Christmas or something like that. Got my bag, got my boarding pass, good to go. Get to security, drop my backpack through the x-ray machine, having completely forgotten to remove my stapler. So they open it up to see what the thing was (apparently, they couldn’t believe anyone would randomly have a stapler sitting in his backpack for a vacation). And when the guy who’s going through my bag looks up to hand it to me, he does this weird sort of double-take, leans forward smiling conspiratorially, and asks in this really quiet tone of voice… “Pardon me, but would your name happen to be Michael J. Fox?” Goody. ---

I used to get the “You look like Ann-Margaret” thing… I never did get her body though:( NOW, EVERYWHERE I GO, I get the “You look just like Elizabeth Montgomery” from “Bewitched” Never got the nose thing either… 😉 ---

Back when I had really long hair and a beard, people at rock concerts often exclaimed that I looked exactly like Leon Russell. I thought nothing of this until I saw an album cover of his with him on an orange background. The resemblence was uncanny. ---

One of my Spanish teachers in high school observed that I looked like Dylan Klebold. Only a little bit, I decided. ---

I know a kid that resembles the red head kid from harry potter. And I know a girl who (while some people don’t see it) looks EXACTLY like Cameron Diaz. In fact I told a friend of hers, that I honestly beleive that she could be out there winning money, vactions etc… if she looked for celeb look alike contests. ---

People tell me I look like a blond Edward Scissorhands. One guy told me I look like Billy Corgan from the Smashing Pumpkins, but I don’t see much resemblance there. ---

I was once told I look like Minnie Driver . . . That was a few years ago, and my face is a bit thinner and my hair less curly now, so I don’t think it applies anymore. ---

Years ago, I was told that I looked like Dan Aykroyd. Sadly, as Dan has aged and put on weight, so have I. So, according to what I hear nowadays, I still look like Dan Aykroyd. ---

I was reading in the paper only days ago about a woman who is employed as a Nicole Kidman lookalike. She earns up to $3500 a day through an agency that provides such “talent”. She’s earned a living for 14 years doing this. She said the worst aspect of the job was dieting whenever the real Nicole lost weight. Oh and a photographer once insisted that I look just like Nick Nolte but I don’t think so. ---
