**Frederik Philips’** mother Sophie Pressburg was a sister of Henriette Pressburg, the mother of **Karl Marx.** Philips co-founded the tech giant of the same name, meaning the father of communism was first cousin to the founder of a mega corporation with 88k employees in about 100 countries.

More impressively (and more directly,) Sigourney Weaver’s father was television pioneer Pat Weaver, who created both _The Today Show_ and _The Tonight Show_, as well as NBC Radio’s long-running _Monitor_ weekend program.

This is pretty tenuous, since they’re not related by blood, but rock musicians Ringo Starr and Joe Walsh are brothers - in - law. Starr is married to actress Barbara Bach, and Walsh is married to Barbara’s sister, Marjorie.

Speaking of food critics:
Tom Parker-Bowles is a food critic and writer. His stepfather is the current Prince of Wales.
Giles Coren is likewise a food critic. Not that substantially different a line of work, but his father Alan Coren and sister Victoria Coren-Mitchell were/are both television presenters and writers (Victoria also has a lucrative sideline as a professional poker player). His cousin Michael is a television presenter and clergyman in Canada, writing and presenting on religious subjects.

I recently mentioned this in another thread. Hunt Sales is a drummer. Tony Fox Sales is a bass player. They played in Iggy Pop’s band on Lust For Life. They were also in David Bowie’s Tin Machine. Their father Soupy Sales was an actor, comic and children’s tv presenter.
