Ronan Farrow, the journalist who broke the Harvey Weinstein sexual abuse story, is the son of actors Woody Allen and Mia Farrow.
He’s also a lawyer and graduated college at 15.
Ronan Farrow’s maternal grandmother was actress Maureen O’Sullivan (known for playing Jane opposite Johnny Weismuller as Tarzan) and his maternal grandfather was screenwriter and filmmaker John Farrow. The Beatles song “Dear Prudence” was written for his aunt, Mia’s sister Prudence Farrow. Another of Mia’s sisters, Tisa Farrow, was known as a model and actress.
and he has a PhD. in political science. Impressive dude.
And he coincidentally looks like a young Frank Sinatra.
Tom Harmon was a Heisman Trophy winner and had a brief NFL career after serving in WWII. The rest of his career he spent as a successful sports broadcaster.
His son Mark Harmon followed his father into football and was the quarterback for UCLA. Instead of sports broadcasting like his father he decided to go into acting acting where he became moderately successful.
“Moderately successful?” Be still my beating heart.
Yeah, superstar bias at work here. Harmon has been more succesful as an actor than 999,9 % of actors, enjoying a leading man status in multiple leading TV series, and getting paid extremely well for it.

David Attenborough’s older brother Richard was a famous actor and movie director.
Mark’s sister Kelly was also an actress, although not as successful; had some TV roles and also did commercials for Tic Tac mints back in the '70s. For a bit of trivia, there’s a concert movie from the mid-'60s called The T.A.M.I. Show, and Kelly is briefly shown in a shot of the audience.
Looking her up on Wikipedia just now, I discovered that Kelly was briefly married to John DeLorean, the well-known auto executive.
Mark and Kelly’s sister is Kristin Nelson (née Harmon) who was married to Ricky Nelson and is the mother of Matthew and Gunnar (of the band Nelson), and also actress Tracy Nelson. Kristin also married TV producer and director Mark Tinker, son of Grant Tinker.
And Mark Harmon, as we should all know by now, is married to Pam Dawber.
Maybe not so coincidentally, if you know what I mean.
As Ronan Farrow tweeted, “Listen, we’re all possibly Frank Sinatra’s son.”
